Garden Construction Service

Garden Construction – A Quality Approach

The majority of our customers like to have a complete service when it comes to their new garden, in other words, a professional company to design and then construct the project. Some, however, approach us with an existing third party plan they may already have which may need some alterations and then a company to execute the garden build process. We here at Openview Landscape Design Ltd cater to both parties throughout the counties of Kent, Surrey and Sussex. We work with dedicated teams of professional and courteous builders to get your garden constructed quickly but with great care. We will only ever use tried and tested techniques alongside quality materials in a robust manner, you can be confident that a garden built with us will last.

Garden Construction – The Process

So what happens when you give us a call or drop us an email about your garden construction enquiry?

1. The starting point is phone conversation to better understand what our involvement may be within your project; how we can best help you. At this point we can discuss whether you have a plan already you would like us to build to or require some help with the design side too.

If you would like a design for your garden click here to find out more about this process first.

2. We can then arrange to come to meet you on site and your garden construction manager from our build team (plus your garden designer too if applicable) will have a chat about your aspirations; what you want to see at the end of the process. At this point we can take a look at the construction drawings you may already have or talk to you about the drawings we have produced for you through the design process stage.

3. Once we have a better understanding of the current condition of your garden and what you would like it to be transformed in to (this would have already been done as part of the design process), your garden construction manager will be able to put together the detailed build cost estimate ready for presenting shortly after. It’s usual practice at this stage to offer various options on material finishes, such as paving, and optional extras such as lighting schemes or automated irrigation. This gives you an idea of potential variations available for your garden design and a better understanding of what your budget will do for you.

4. A second meeting is then arranged for the construction cost to be presented to you and to answer any further questions you may have about the process. Once a material and time schedule is mutually agreed a start date is booked into our diary and all you have to do is wait patiently, which is easier said than done!
