Tenterden Garden Design IIThis smaller garden in Tenterden, Kent inspired the neighbour, Mrs Morgan, to have her garden designed. Although the plots are a similar size the owner of this garden was looking for a crisp design without too much maintenance to worry about. The garden designers maximised the available space with a mix of gravels and larger stones which complement the sporadic paving pattern. A timber pergolas was used to give some height to the space whilst, eventually, providing some dappled shade to the seat below which overlooks a bubbling monolith water feature. As with most landscape designs, the planting in this space provides a welcoming softer side to the design. Most of the plants were transplanted from the previous garden but our horticulturists provided an extra splash of seasonal colour with some well-chosen complimenting species. The end result is a well-balanced cool and contemporary courtyard garden design making the arrival home after work very much more enjoyable for the owner! "I love the planting it looks GREAT, in fact the whole garden is coming to life and looks so good, thanks to you. I am thinking of saving up to get the back done next year by Openview now!"
