Canterbury Garden DesignOne of the many wonderful aspects of garden design is seeing a massive transformation from the bland to the outright inspiring and this garden near Canterbury, Kent is a classic example of that. From what started off as a flat-ish area of lawn with a few beds (albeit well looked after) has now been turned into a wonderfully bespoke enticing garden for Mr and Mrs Nicholson to enjoy their time in. As per normal methods of garden construction, the first task is always to remove what’s not wanted; to clear the space for the ground works to begin. As this garden is based on 2 different levels with sweeping curves joining them the digger saw a lot of action! Work progressed quickly and smoothly, however under the expert guidance of the build team the design intentions soon came into focus. The idea for this scheme was quite simple, to provide the client with a more useable engaging space which offers areas to entertain in, space for the grandchildren to enjoy their energy and a designated section for growing a wide selection of delicious looking vegetables! Style played an important role here though, there was no desire for straight lines and acute angles, a more sinuous meandering scheme was plotted out by our talented designers to produce a much softer overall feel to the garden. This was of course complimented beautifully by the planting scheme put together by Mr and Mrs Nicholson with the end result being something to be utterly proud of by everyone involved. “The guys all worked extremely hard and we're very pleased with the finished result, it's made a big difference...Our friends came round and were very impressed!” Mr & Mrs Nicholson
