  • Places To Go – Tenterden Business Fair

Posted on: June 8th, 2014 by admin

Despite the promise of biblical rain from the weather forecast the sun shone for the first annual Tenterden Business Fair held in the Town Hall on Saturday 7th June. The team here at Openview Landscape Design Ltd, also based in Tenterden, Kent, would like to congratulate the Chamber of Commerce for an excellent event! It was fantastic to see such support from local businesses and the people who came out to have a good look around the stalls. We were lucky enough to be asked to create our stand at the entrance, we were really pleased by the amount of interest shown in our company. We are certainly looking forward to participating in the next one and encourage anyone else thinking about it to do the same! You can find further details of the event on the forum. 20140608-173432-63272646.jpg 20140608-173432-63272957.jpg
  • Places To Go – Dover Castle

Posted on: February 22nd, 2014 by admin

Firstly I must apologise to our clients and followers who have pointed out that I have not posted for a while! We have had an absolute manic beginning to the year with the busiest January/February we have ever seen. It's been great to see a lot of customers making enquiries based upon our work they have seen out and about; our home town of Tenterden, Kent has been particularly appreciative of the garden designs we have completed throughout the area! I will of course endeavour to keep the site updated with all the exciting projects we have in progress. For a well earned break from all the late nights in the design office we took a visit to another of my favourite destinations; Dover Castle. This is a fantastic place to stroll around and be in awe of the extremely well preserved buildings...and views! The history of the site is incredible with tours of the underground tunnels being a particular highlight. We of course enjoyed a cream tea in the restaurant on this beautiful sunny day, it would be rude not to! I strongly suggest taking a look if your stuck for something to do with the kids.

  • Places To Go – Knole Park

Posted on: December 22nd, 2013 by admin

Another Sunday another crisp winter walk to mull over the year gone by and think about all the amazing garden designs we have completed and all the garden designs we have waiting in the pipeline come 2014! It has been a brilliant year for us at Openview Landscape Design Ltd, the garden designers are absolutely exhausted and with all the projects we have had going on it's not difficult to see why! We have now closed up the office for the Christmas break but will be back in action on 6th January eager to get cracking on the myriad of garden design projects we already have booked in. It's great knowing that the work the guys did last year has secured us some amazing projects this year through their reputation for craftsmanship and hard work. On a side note, I personally enjoyed a great stroll through Knole Park near Sevenoaks, Kent today. The mix of wide open park land and narrow tree-lined walks (not to mention the house) was incredibly relaxing, especially in a blast of winter sunshine. We also got to see a glimpse of why the park is so often visited; the wandering deer. Have a good Christmas break. 20131222-160919.jpg 20131222-160935.jpg 20131222-161001.jpg 20131222-161017.jpg 20131222-161036.jpg 20131222-161050.jpg
  • Places To Go – Ightham Mote

Posted on: December 17th, 2013 by admin

I really enjoy going for a walk in winter, the crisp air and cold cheeks! I find its a great way to inspire garden design ideas. What I enjoy just as much is sharing great places I have been for a walk to such as Ightham Mote in Sevenoaks, Kent. As a garden designer I am always looking at landscapes and this 14th-century house is set in some fantastic rolling hills dotted with mature trees. If your looking for somewhere to get some fresh air in Kent I highly recommend it.

  • Places To Go – Scotney Castle

Even on a dreary overcast day Scotney Castle near Lamberhurst, Kent and it's estate looked incredibly inviting and was a joy to walk through. The mist caught up in the large expanses of woodland, all in autumn colour, scattered around open parkland was just the location to clear my cold and enjoy a long stroll whilst thinking about the garden design work going on before we hit the Xmas break. Please note, customers with landscape design plans due this week may find a few large deciduous trees have been suggested! 20131117-160700.jpg 20131117-160722.jpg 20131117-160739.jpg
  • Places To Go – Leeds Castle Fireworks

Posted on: November 11th, 2013 by admin

The Openview Landscape Design team decided to attend the annual Leeds Castle Fireworks display near Maidstone, Kent yesterday as a treat for the excellent year we have had which, in no doubt, comes from the hard work put in by all the garden designers. The display was absolutely superb as always, we went early and enjoyed the wonderful grounds and castle. If your looking for somewhere fun and educational to take the kids all the garden designers here would recommend it! 20131111-094729.jpg 20131111-094751.jpg 20131111-094812.jpg 20131111-094836.jpg
